Peace in oneself, peace in the world with self-compassion - Mobilizing a movement towards the IDGs - January 24th, 2023

This Gathering focuses on Self-Compassion: What it is, how self-compassion can be cultivated as an inner resource available to us 24/7, and how self-compassion might support our work on the 23 IDG skills and qualities.

Regarding the IDGs, one of the three pillars of MSC deserves special focus, which is our awareness of our common humanity, enabling us to be interested and appreciate the diversity of life paths and experiences and, as a consequence, collaborate with each other in new ways.

MSC teachers Dr. Susan W Gitau, Galia Tyano Ronen, Ha Tran and Mirjam Luthe will share stories of how self-compassion has supported their work in their particular contexts, e.g. with young abused women in Kenya to relate again to their dignity; supporting groups of Israelis and Palestinians to have fruitful conversations, and provide steps towards healing inter-generational trauma in a war-experienced country like Vietnam.
